Aim Connection Error, is there any solution?

ok so when i first got my computer (windows 7 starter) aim worked fine, and did for months. I think during an update or something that my computer asked me about that aim was doing. Since then aim hasnt worked. Everytime EXCEPT when i FIRST (((and i have to pull of magic because the time window is like within 30 seconds turning on the computer and loggig in)))turn on my computer i get the "Connection Error" message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a million times =, aim is on every exception list, i have opened port 443 im not using a proxy and all the settings are correct, and i have tried opening it as an administrator. When i click the option to auto configure the window comes up for just a second long enough for me to register that something came up on the screen. I have no other issues with anyother programs. PLEASE help if you can
