Spark plug and wires question help please?

So today I went to the local auto parts store and I asked for some spark plugs and wires. I told him the year, make and model of my car. I have a 1998 Dodge Neon Sport. It is my daily drive and is completely stock. So he gave me NGK Iridium IX spark plugs and BWD wire set. He told me the spark plugs were the best and will last me a long time and the wire set had a lifetime guarantee. I have not opened them or anything. So my question is, are these products good for my car or do I not need these kind. Should I return them and get something else? Thanks!
