What is the current gun laws in Washington D.C?

I'm moving there soon, my g/f got a really good job there. We currently live in PA, and I do own firearms. Just curious what exactly is there laws, what you can and can not have? I know awhile ago guns were completely banned of any kind, is that still in effect? If gun laws there are really strict, do you suggest then, just too look for a place across the river in Arlington, VA?
